Run System Health which indicates that there are two "unknown devices".
Device Manager does not show such, even with the show all selected.
How do I get rid of this false info?

What system is this?
Here is some information which may apply to your problem:
Unknown device is listed under Windows Device Manager in Lenovo Solution Center.
There is an unknown device listed in Lenovo Solution Center (LSC) when the user clicks on Check-up and then Device Manager, as the drive is not installed, but no such device can be found under Windows Device Manager.
This is a false report from LSC.
- The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:
- Affected Systems (machine types, model types):
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch
Microsoft Windows 8
This issue will be resolved in a future LSC update.
The user can disable the message from LSC by enabling the Remind Me option provided on the same page of the LSC Device Manager function.

OS= Win 8 Pro, X1 Carbon touch
Found the small print "Remind me" item.
Interesting is that one has to use "Remind Me" and choose "Never" to get rid of the notification.
What matters is that the problem is now fixed.

I found the same problem, (two unknown devices), and I just updated my LSC to the latest version, but I still encountered the same problem. Hope Lenovo staffs can resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you.

I just got my new X1 Carbon. It's great and is working flawlessly. When I got it, it came with Windows 7, but it came with the media to upgrade to Windows 8. I followed all the instructions, and everything is working fine. The problem, is that in Lenovo Solution Center I am getting a "Device Manager Alert". Clicking "Fix Options" tells me that are are two unknown devices that are not installed. However, when I open Device Manager, there are no unknown devices listed and everything is listed as installed and working. Does anybody know what is causing this or what is causing the problem?

I am getting this too. Apparently, it's normal with Windows 8 or RT if your computer has GPIO support. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2803143. I think it's on Microsoft to fix this.
