Thinkpad X22; No standby option

I recently reinstalled Windows XP from scratch, installed System Update, and have installed all updates. There is simply no standby option (it's greyed out in Start > Turn off computer).

Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Thinkpad X22; No standby option

For standby option, you need the ACPI driver for your mainboard. I'm not sure what the chipset X22 are using. Could you provide model name? or just download CPU-Z to check this out. Then you could download the driver for it.

Re: Thinkpad X22; No standby option

That's the thing: I have installed the ACPI driver (both via System Update and directly via downloading from Lenovo support and installing it manually), but still standby and hibernate option are not available. The product ID is 2662-9EU (that's what I'm getting reported, but I think it's actually -9NU, which is extremely similar anyway). The chipset is Intel i830MP rev A4. Is there anything else that might be helpful? Thank you.
