Touchpad Not Responding?



I've had my ThinkPad all of 45 minutes. I started her up and then started to play with the features. Initially the mouse worked, then I turned and used the touch portion for the screen.  I shut it down and then began charging it.  Upon start-up my mouse will work on my login screen, however past entering my password the screen stops responding to the mouse, or the red touch button.


It's beyond annoying to keep touching the screen for basic search features.  Any help would be appreciated.  This is my first Lenovo and I was excited about this product, but the frustration I've had in the last half an hour makes me wonder if this was a smart investment.  Smiley Sad

Have you run the update software that comes pre-installed with the computer? I believe this is an problem with the old version of the driver.
