It's a new X220T and with a docking station and I have an external monitor hooked up to it. For some reason certain actions, like click on a web address or other various buttons, the volume control display will jump on the screen for a few seconds. Would appreciate and help before I have to call support. (ugh)

I'm not sure why this is happening, but you can disable the on screen display by following this KB:- http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVision-displays-Knowledge/On-screen-display-on-L2251p-wide/ta-p/388...
I hope this helps.

I have a similar, but different issue. Whenever I dock my Lenovo Thinkpad 10 Tablet into the docking station, the volume display shows and seems to be pressed so the volume always raises to 100%.
I have attached a screenshot video to better explain what is happening.
