X1 Carbon V3 - cell coin battery

I did not use my X1 for 2 month. When started I got message that the date was reset.

How can I check that the cell coin battery needs to be replaced or is it obvious?

Would it be an alternative to remove the main battery and check if the date is still valid?

Re: X1 Carbon V3 - cell coin battery

Hi Kstrid! Please charge the computer and it should work. Usually if the CMOS battery is bad, it will give you an error during POST. It will be indicated in the error message that there is something wrong with the CMOS battery.

That's what I would do.
