X200 Tablet WLAN card update

Anybody ever tried to exchange the original Intel IBM Thinkpad Wifi 5300 AGN 802.11N Wireless Card with an

Intel IBM Thinkpad Wifi 5350 AGN 802.11N Wireless Card which has WIMAX included.

If yes or no. Smiley Wink

Anybody knows how the TVUS will handle this when I try to update it to get the right drivers.

Re: X200 Tablet WLAN card update

Nobody got an idea.

I already have a card.

The only thing I want to know is if TVSU will update the driver???

Or is the driver already onboard??

Re: X200 Tablet WLAN card update

I have a suggestion

<suggestion>

stop making it so hard and just Google for the driver yourself instead of asking us or ThinkVantage update to do it for you.

Been there, done it, NO problems.

Only problem I  had was the Ericson update who could not find the GPS driver. Smiley Mad

But fixed that to. Smiley Happy

Don't waste your money on "WiMax"...it's a joke

Coverage of the "WiMax" signal is in such limited areas and even where they claim to have coverage, 90% of the time, you are actually on their EVDO network (which is very fast, but not as fast as they claim WiMax is)....don't waste your $....just go to Sprint and get their normal high speed data card which will be running on the same EVDO network at the same speeds the "WiMax" users are seeing on their cards....shame on Sprint for such deceptive business practices
