I have a brand new X201t running Windows 7 - 64 bit. I have two 8 cell batteies, one purchased a month ago one that was delivered with the system three days ago.
One battery will charge to 35% and the other will charge to 40%. The two batteries will charge to 100% when they are connected to the auxiliary charger on the X200 UltraBase.
Any one else seeing this issue?

According to Lenovo Toolbox, my BIOS is 6QET35WW (1.05).
The BIOS is temporarily unavailable on the Driver Matrix webpage.
Can you confirm what the latest BIOS is? Technical Support told me that I would need to have the unit, 2 days old, sent in for repair!

This is the bootable CD version. The Windows-based BIOS update is temporarily unavailable.

I had a similar problem with my X201T. The battery would only charge to 45%. I updated from bios 1.05 to 1.09 (using the bootable CD version) and this fixed the problem.
I am surprised my machine did not come from the factory with the latest bios as my manufacture date was a couple of weeks after the release date of this latest bios.

I have the same problem with my x201t but sadly I have no External CD/DVD Drive and I don't have the media bay. How can I apply the BIOS update? Can I create a bootable USB Thumb drive?

same problem here as johnebs above, not charging, no BIOS available on the support web and no internal drive to install it anyway. any help would be really useful, as my 33% max charge doesnt allow me to do much to be fair... and i agree that its unbelievable that new buyers have to do a manual BIOS update after receiving a new laptop.

It won't help some of you until the bios update utility is available again, but the bios update definately corrects this issue. Hopefully the utility will be available very soon for those of you without a drive.

Buy an external CD/DVD Drive or ask your friend to do a iso CD for you.
Update the BIOS can definately solve the not charge problem.
My problem has solved by updating BIOS.
