X220 Tablet - Pen and Screen Issues

We are having some issues with the pen touch when getting closer to the edge of the screen.

The little dot-guide loses accuracy around the edges, making it frustrating to adjust clicks.

Another issue is the pen gets shaky when you are closer to the edge of the screen as well. Example - it is impossibleto draw a straight line when you get closer to the screen (OneNote).

We had a Toshiba Portege previously and we never had these issues.

I apoligize if this is redudndant but i would like a solution. Driver update?

Thanks,

Nprod

Re: X220 Tablet - Pen and Screen Issues

This is common with all Wacom tablet screens, but it shouldn't be as noticeable as you describe... It's certainly not as annoying on my X61T. Perhaps it's a defect?

Re: X220 Tablet - Pen and Screen Issues

Thanks for responding Nprod.

Not sure how bad the jitters should be, its deffinetly pretty annoying.

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue? I dont think this should be something i should "live with".

Thanks,

Re: X220 Tablet - Pen and Screen Issues

Normally the inverter is to blame for that, but the newer X series tablets use LED backlights and thus there is no inverter... If it's still under warranty, you could ask them to replace the pen and/or screen assembly.

Re: X220 Tablet - Pen and Screen Issues

We just received another one of these tablets. I will troubleshoot and update with my results. Thanks again.
