Has anyone seen and/or solved the following problem:
My recently purchased X220 Tablet “Mouse” Left Button click stops working intermittently. Put the computer in sleep mode, then awaken it, and the button works again.
Problem is not “mouse” specific. The click function stops on all three ‘mouse’ devices: TrackPoint, Touchpad and Touch screen.
This does not impact the Right button; it works fine.
Computer is running Windows 7 Professional SP 1.
Problem is reminiscent of X61 Touch Screen I had where the Pen would stop working until it was put in sleep mode and awakened. That went away eventually with a driver update.

I noticed this issue today on a x220 running windows xp. the tablet was in use and for about 1 minute the left click function stopped working, both from the built-in trackpad button and the other left click button. after about a minute it started working again. During this time i could use the keyboard and the right-click without issue. Anyone else seeing this or have any idea what to do about it?

I have the same problem with my X220t running Win 7 Pro x64. The only way to get the left-click functions back are either to reboot or to stop and restart Explorer.exe. As a matter of fact, when you lose the left-click, right-click on a desktop folder shortcut and try to open it. If your problem is like mine, you wil get a blank box with no way to close it.
To restart Explorer.exe (the main Windows GUI): CTRL-ALT-DEL --> Start Task Manager --> Processes --> find "Explorer.exe" --> right-click --> end process --> (top left) File --> New Task (Run...) --> Type: Explorer.exe then <enter>
I have been scouring the Internet trying to find anything about this but alas, apart from here, nothing. I did ask our IT to ask Lenovo. However, I might do it myself as I have yet to have received an answer.

We are still seeing this same issue intermittantly on multiple X220 tablets running windows XP sp3. Anyone hear from Lenovo on this?

These are specifically drivers and downloads for the x220 Tablet.
For the track pad and everything else controlling the mouse to stop intermittently you need these drivers.
Uninstall and reinstall all of these drivers and programs:
Ultra-nav Program: Win7, Vista, XP:
Ultra-nav Driver: Win7, Vista, XP:
Also the power manager helps with these drivers. In it there are small parts of other drivers. Like Bluetooth, Mouse, Wireless, among others.
uninstall and reinstall the power manager if the above drivers did not work.
Power manager program: Win7:
Power manager Program: XP:
Power manager Driver: Win7, Vista, XP:
Let me know if these help resolve your issue,
