X220 bios update 1.19

Did anyone try the latest version? I would like to install it, if it doesn't introduce any major new bugs. There seems to be a fix for the CPU throttling issue.

Re: X220 bios update 1.19

@mludwig,

Based on the feedback for X220 throttle with BIOS 1.19

http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/X220-cpu-throttling-problem/td-p/428879/page/4

They have fix the throttle for "Perma-throttle" however the semi throttle is still currently ongoing. Do view the other forumer's comment on the BIOS 1.19 there.

Just wondering, are you having any fan issues and it was solved after BIOS 1.19?

Thanks.

Re: X220 bios update 1.19

I noticed an odd fan behavior a couple of times, but didn't experience any throttling issues. But then again, I didn't have the time to play any games yet. To spare the time needed to browse the entire 50+ thread, what application would be the best to  stress the CPU and bring any throttling issues to daylight?

No! Not solved! I  installed the 1.19 and when stressing the CPU it keeps switching between 3GHz and 1100MHz I am using 90watt power cord and also the battery was plugged in.
To stress the CPU I used wprime http://www.wprime.net/

X220t core i5
