Re: X230T: Display Type: 12.5 Multitouch HD or 12.5 Outdoor HD

Hi Guys,

I have just placed an order for an X230T with 12.5 Outdoor HD Display.

I did quite a bit of research before making my choice. I was sure that the Outdoor HD display was touch sensitive, however, you do not get the "Multitouch" features and it's far less sentsitive than the Multitouch display.

However, I just watched this video:

Something he said was something like "This is available with and without the touch sensitive display". Surely, he means "with or without the multi-touch" display as I don't see the option for a non-touch sensitive display.

I would asume, since the 12.5 Outdoor HD screen appears to be an "optional upgrade" when you are ordering direct from Lenovo, that this display is still touch sensitive?

What is the difference between the 12.5 Multitouch HD and 12.5 Outdoor HD display types?

Can someone helpe me out here?

Multitouch = wacom pen + finger touch

Outdoor = wacom pen only

Re: X230T: Display Type: 12.5 Multitouch HD or 12.5 Outdoor HD

Hi Guys,

Thanks - I have changed my order as I wanted the touch-screen version. The way I see it is that a tablet is not much fun to use if you do not have a touch screen.

I would not recommend the Outdoor screen as you do have to use the pen, which is supplied. For me multi-touch screen is the best choice! Only chosse the Outdoor HD screen if you like the idea of *always* using the pen.

Thanks for your help guys.
