X41 Tablet hard drive?

I have a hard drive (40 gb) that I pulled out of my broken T30. Can i put it in my X41?

No you can't.

 

X40 and X41 take 1.8" PATA hard drives that were only made by Hitachi, all are 4200rpm and the largest one is 60GB. Due to their rarity, they're ridiculously expensive nowadays.

oh........ i see now. well im not going to buy it then. 200$ + another 100+$ for a hard drive? that is ridiculous.

hold on. is there a way of using a compact flash card as a hard drive (like solid state?). I can get 32 gigs for 80$

so from what im reading, yes? its possible? im thinking of a 32gb cf card to put in there. should have better performance and less susceptability to motion?
