X61T - Tablet mode not working?

First time user here,

So I bought a Thinkpad X61 tablet online with Windows 10 (64-bit) installed. I tried installing multitouch drivers from the support page and Wacom's site, rebooted so many times after installing them but to no avail. Using the stylus nor the buttons on the monitor aren't working. Then, I uninstalled them.

Do I have to downgrade to Windows 7 in order for it to work? Or what else should I do to get the touchscreen working?

Re: X61T - Tablet mode not working?

There won't be Lenovo drivers for windows 10, so you are sort-of on your own with that model.  Are you saying that the stylus isn't sensed or that the screen doesn't rotate?

Re: X61T - Tablet mode not working?

Hi,

I have the same problem after upgrade to Win10 Home, but my stylus is working, only the buttons aren't.

After a restart I get a failure (Runtime Error pen_tablet.exe).

Lenovo told me there will be no support for such "old" notebooks.

Hope there will be a solution sometimes.

Re: X61T - Tablet mode not working?

The drivers for the buttons somewhat work, but they only rotate the screen automatically when tablet mode is used and you can't actually use the buttons, which kinda sucks.

I bought a new stylus compatible for the laptop and it seems to work without errors so far.

Thanks all.

Re: X61T - Tablet mode not working?

Using an X61T with stylus (but no multi touch) with openSUSE for years now. (Manual) pivoting, stylus and most of the tablet buttons work.
