buying X61 tablet from ebay ibmfactoryoutlet

Hello,
I plan to buy a X61 tablet from this ebay IBMfactoryoutlet store: http://stores.ebay.com/IbmFactoryOutlet
They advertise it as Authorized Business Parter and most of the system are listed with 3-year warranty and seal box.   How do I verify the warrantee and part number before buying?  Also, are they refurbish or brand new system

The model/part listed as 7764CTO.
Thanks for your help & advice!

You would probably have to get the model and serial number for the machine you want to purchase, and you can check Lenovo's website for warranty status/info.  7764CTO is the same model I have...I believe the "CTO" means it was customized and 7764 probably refers to the screen/processor combination chosen.

[ Editado ]
Read the ad properly and you'll see that they offer only 6 months IBM warranty and 3 years Mack which is next to worthless...and all of their units are refurbished...you can do a lot better with some research on the web, including Lenovo's Outlet...

Many not-so-positive reviews of this company can be found on Bill Morrow's ThinkPad Forum...

I wouldn't touch these guys with a 10-foot pole, but it's your money...

Re: buying X61 tablet from ebay ibmfactoryoutlet

Just say no. I bought a laptop from them a few weeks ago. It was in a plain white box and was definitely a refurbished model. Within 12 hours, it was totally dead. It has now gone back to Lenovo for service and with any luck, will get fixed. ibmfactoryoutlet offered to send a box in to repair it for me, but to be honest, I don't think I want these guys taking the machine apart any more than they already have. If Lenovo doesn't or can't fix it, I'm just going to throw the machine away and chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Take it from me, it's not worth the extra money savings that you THINK you will be getting. I've just about given up on ever owning one of these things.

Re: buying X61 tablet from ebay ibmfactoryoutlet

unless you are in a hurry to hold an already-built laptop, i would suggest that you just order it from lenovo.com directly. there might be a waiting time for it to be built, but i think it's worth the wait.
