optical dvd drive in new x200

My understanding is the the x200/x201 tablets don't come with optical drives?  I'm not 100% sure about this, and I know that it's not uncommon for smaller laptops not to have them.  If this is the case, what is the cheapest way to get a dvd drive for an x200/x201 tablet?  Do I need to get an expansion port of some type, plus the drive itself?

You can check for some external optical drives with a USB connection

Re: optical dvd drive in new x200

The X200/X201 Tablets do not have a built-in optical drive. However, they do have a very nice optional dock called an Ultrabase that allows the installation of an optical drive or a 2nd hard disk. Most USB drives will also work and Lenovo also offers a USB CD/DVD drive with LightScribe. Check out the Lenovo accessories section.

The Ultrabase has worked out very well for our X60 and X200 series tablets. The tablets are typically either traveling out of the office or ancored on a desk, rather than traveling within the office. As a result, docking the tablets to conviniently use monitors, keyboards, etc. while on the desk has worked out  very well.
