Until today after updating to Windows 8 the touchscreen of my notebook didn't work anymore.
To solve this issue, one can go to http://www.wacom.eu/
then navigate to Support / Drivers then choose Windows 7 / Tablet PC
and download the driver

and extract the exe file it with winrar.
Then go to the windows device manager and select the "Unknown device" .
Update the driver and select the extracted folder of the driver on your hdd.
After that the touchscreen will work again.

To enable 'Snap' on low resolution screens try this:
1. Open the Run Command i.e. 'Win+R'. Then type 'regedit' and hit Enter.
2. You can now navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\ImmersiveShell
3. Under ImmersiveShell key, create a new key AppPositioner.
4. Now you have to select the newly created key AppPositioner and in right-side pane, create a new DWORD AlwaysEnableLSSnapping and set its value to 1.
