x61 tablet xga display upgrade ?

hi folks,
I want to ask you, can I change my XGA display with SXGA , and if yes what exact model of SXGA would you recommend? Are the LCD panel connectors and inverter same for XGA and SXGA and will be there a problem with touchscreen replacement? Did I have to change BIOS?
My laptop model is x61 tablet 7767 BFG with multitouch.

PS. I've made a little search to find out that 7767 is purchased with this lcd's -XGA 13N7241/43/37/24/33/39/31/26 ,and they can be changed with - SXGA 93P5609 or 13N7235/25. Is this right ? Still don't know what to do with touchscreen!

Re: x61 tablet xga display upgrade ?

the sxga+ don't support multitouch.

The manual is here, it should list the part number for the SXGA+ which is BOE-Hydis LCD using AFFS technology.

Re: x61 tablet xga display upgrade ?

Thanks for reply lead_org !

I've look at manual and as I understand my lcd panel is one of this : 13N7241 G5 TMD,*** 7239 G5 samsung or ***7226 G5 and I can change it with 93P5609 G5. But did I have to make changes in BIOS or it will be recognised by system without any BIOS manipulation ?

don't think you would have to update the bios for the screen upgrade.

Re: x61 tablet xga display upgrade ?

Do bear in mind that with such an upgrade you'd be voiding any remaining warranty on your machine.
