We just got our new TS200v (Core i5 650, 8GB RAM) and installed SBS 2008 Std. R2 on it.

I wondered, how Hyper-V would perform but have been unable to get it to work so far.  Everytime I try to start a virtual computer, I get the error message "3112 - The virtual machine could not be started because the hypervisor is not running"

Installing the Hyper-V server role was quite successful and related services are up and running. I'm quite sure, that I activated all relating virtualizing-options in BIOS correctly.

So anyone has experienced similar problems?  What settings do I need to change?

There are a few changes in  BIOS settings required to turn on virtualization.

1.  Reboot the computer and go into BIOS Setup (hit F1 during boot).

2.  Go to the Advanced tab, select CPU Setup and enable Intel (R) Virtualization Technology.  (Do not enable TxT.)

3.  Hit F10 to save BIOS Settings

Then use Hyper-V to create new virtual machines.
