Has TS150 dropped AMT KVM?

2018-09-27, 23:39 PM

About the TS150, PSRef says "KVM is supported on models with Xeon E3-12x5 v5 processors." However it seems v5 is no longer available at distribution.

Has Lenovo intentionally dropped the most useful AMT feature? Why? What are the alternatives? I absolutely need out-of-band KVM e.g. to enter a Bitlocker password after a BIOS update kills the memorized password.

Thanks,

I found the PSREF link you mention and I do see that it neglects to state for v5 and v6, I will get this fixed.  On the current versions of ThinkServer TS150 with v6 processors, AMT supports KVM.

https://lenovopress.com/lp0625-ts150-intel-xeon-e3-1200-v5-v6-core-i3-pentium-celeron-g-series#systems-management:

In addition, AMT supports KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) redirection (KVM redirection requires an Intel Xeon E3-1200 v6 or v5 processor with integrated graphics).
