I am new to Lenovo servers and would appreciate some guidance. Please excuse me ignorance here.
In the past, our company has always installed HP branded servers with Windows Server OS. We would then install the HP System Management Homepage software. I believe this software integrated with Windows and would put hardware alerts right in Windows Event Viewer for us to see.
We use Continuum RMM and monitoring solution with an agent installed on the server as well. So, if a hardware error alert (e.g. fan failure) showed up in the Windows Event Viewer, Continuum's agent would see that and give us a call, etc.
This is my understanding of how that software works....I BELIEVE it's the HP System Management Homepage software...perhaps it's a different peice of software that was doing that...
Anyhow, is there anything from Lenovo that I can install in Windows OS so that it records hardware failures/alerts in the event viewer in Windows?
Any information or guidance would be appreciated. If anyone uses an RMM agent, how are YOU currently handling alerts for failed hardware? Are you just doing smtp alerts from XCC?....software installed?....other?

You could use LXCA to mange alerts, update firmware, monitoring, deployment etc , it's a multi function and very powerful tool .
