RD550 M.2 Mirroring

With the M.2 kit (4XF0G45892), Can I use the 720ix to mirror the attached drives or are they just JBOD detected by the BIOS ?

You should use 4XF0G45889(2.5" chassis M.2 Enablement kit to RAID720ix) instead of 4XF0G45892(M.2 enablement kit to motherboard). For more details please refer to https://lenovopress.com/lp0069-lenovo-thinkserver-rd550-e5-2600-v4#controllers-for-internal-storage

For the RD550 support drives list, there are some SSDs that support NVMe.

But SSDs that support M.2 only use SATA. Please see the following table.
