TS140, Nvidia GT1030

2020-11-14, 18:08 PM

Hello All,

I use my TS140 for photo editing on Ubuntu.

I currently have an Nvidia GT216GL [Quadro 400], but would like to use a 4K monitor, so I was looking at an Nvidia GT1030 fanless GPU.

I expect that it will more power hungry, and I think I'll need to upgrade the PSU to the v.450W.

Will I need extra cables?

Which is the 450W PSU order code?

...

Will it work?! (I know it's a silly question, but maybe someone has already followed this track...)

Thanks in advance!

-Gian

well, maybe I don't need to upgrade the PSU, according to: https://www.gpuzoo.com/GPU-MSI/GeForce_GT_1030_2G_LP_OC.html

Ubuntu 20.04/Nvidia proprietary drivers 45/Darktable with OpenCL

Now, if I could find a Xeon CPU...
