We wish to install the Raid 520i card in a TS150. But I notice the specficiation of the Raid 520i lists only the Xeon E5 v3 variants of the TS150. My machine is an i3-6100. Will the raid card work?

It appears that the Lenovo RAID 520i may not be supported in your particular TS150 (70LV-003EEA). Do you know what part # your RAID 520i is? In checking the Server Support table under the 520i documentation, I see that:
4XC0G88840 RAID 520i PCIe Adapter is supported in TS150 (E3 v5)
4XC0G88841 RAID 520i RAID 5 Upgrade is supported in TS150 (E3 v5)
4XC0G88850 RAID 520i PCIe Adapter is NOT supported in TS150 (E3 v5)
In checking the parts listing for a TS150, MT: 70LV, the only approved RAID adapter listed is shown below:
00FC631 1 FRU LSI 9340-8i 12G RAID HBA
00LF089 LSI 9340-8i SAS RAID 5 Key
You would be safer in going with a RAID adapter that is documented as supported for your TS150 (70LV). Please let me know if you need anything else.

I looked through the 520i documentation and I see where the confusion is coming from. I checked with our RAID engineering team and they confirm that there are no processor level requirements for this RAID card so you should be able to install it and use it with no problem. You will need to install this card in to PCI Slot #3.

Thanks. I actually managed to utilise a HP smart array P420. I connected 4x 3.5" SATA HDs in raid 1+0 on the P420 and 2x 2.5" SATA SSDs in raid 1 from the motherboard. Works great though I couldn't get into the smart array bios at boot up so configured the raid 1+0 from within the smart array software on Windows Server 2016.

I am glad that you were able to find a working solution. As a Lenovo employee, I just want to point out that we will not be able to support raid related issues that you might have, but I certaintly hope that you never have any issues.
