TS150 with Avao MR9340-8i, LSI Storage Authority Login can't login

2019-10-24, 11:02 AM

Hello, I am hoping someone can help.

I have installed the LSI Storage Authority (ul_avago_lsa_005.047.000.000_anyos.zip) on my TS150 (which is a domain controller), the installation goes smoothly.

I can open the web interface but I cannot log in, whatever I try I get an error - Error Code:49 : Invalid Credentials

Being a domain controller they are no local administrators as such, but using domain admin credentials in the domain\username format does not work.

I have created a new domain user, ensured they are an administrator, used a relatively short username and password but to no avail.

I have updated the driver and firmware to the latest versions available.

Can anyone can help please?

Not happy to put the machine into service until I have some monitoring/notifications on the RAID array

TIA

John

John,

I installed v 4.189 on my system and I am able to log is with:

    Username = admin

"admin" or what ever is the user you logged in Windows with, it worked with or without the domain in front of the user name.  Keep DOMAIN on the top drop down box.

The only other thing that comes to mind is special characters.  There are some special characters on my password and they are not a problem for me (although not all special characters are the same), the domain does not hace special characters on my case, have you try without the domain?

I find error code 1326, like in your picture, when I make a typo.

Hi John

If you installed the LSA utility on the RAID controller local machine. You can run the LSA utility on the local machine, and then click it to sign in.

Please select host, and the default login username/password is the smae as operating system username/password.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Danny

I wish it were that easy, I have installed the software on the Domain Controller, which has the RAID card installed - but it will not log on, I just keep getting the credential issue:

Any further ideals?

John

Hi John

May I ask if you type OS login username/password to sign in? I type below username/password to sign in LSA.

Yes I typed the same password I used to log on to the server (domain controller)

As I said I also created a new account (domain), added it to the administrator's group and tried that - with the same result.

John,

What is the OS/domain language?
LSA supports English only, it may have problems with other languages, non-English languages will have a different word for the “Administrators” group, that creates the problem.

An alternative is to use a pre-5.x version of LSA, i.e.: 004.189.000.000
https://datacentersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/DS539307

MSM should also be an option, unless you have a RAID-930-24i controller

Hi R8nser

Thanks for helping with this, I have installed the version you linked - LSI Storage Authority 004.189.000.000

Confirmed that the system is setup in English, Uk Region, the adapter is Avao MR9340-8i

A different error now, but the same issue

And exactly the same issue with MSU - frustrating.

I started to question the credentials so I typed them into notepad then copied and pasted into a 'run as' security windows :smileyhappy: do the same copy and paste into the web login for MSU :smileysad:

Boom - you have done it :smileyvery-happy:

So a combination - set the dropdown to domain but don't use the domain\username format and don't use $ in your password

Thank you

John
