Re: ThinkServer RD440 Fan Speeds stuck at 14000 RPM

Hi Jason,

Is there still  "BMC not working" message? If not, suggest to do 2 actions:

1. Check whether chassis anti-intrusion switch is connected OK?

2. Minimize the system, remove all cards include riser card and check whether fan speeds up. If not, then add the parts one by one.

We one found the riser card caused fan speeds up.

  Hope to help you.

Re: ThinkServer RD440 Fan Speeds stuck at 14000 RPM

the BIOS state "BMC working" since replacing the system board.

I have removed the risers and went down to 1 stick on RAM in DIMM1

The fans continue to run full blast after POST.

I am unable to locate anything about chassis intrusion. I have checked physically and in the manual. Nothing is present.

For RD640 system,  cooling and FSC solution and features as below, it seems to require 6 fans.1.JPG
