x3650 M5 SSD Raid5 disappears after Restart

2021-04-04, 21:01 PM

Hello everyone

I have a Lenovo x3650 M5 server with M5210 raid controller.  I want to make a Raid5 virtualdrive out of 4x 500GB IBM SATA SSD.  This also works, but the virtualdrive disappears after every server restart.

Does anyone have any idea why?

How can I make the virtualdrive  permanent?

Regards Nico

Hi Nico

According to the Lenovo System x3650 M5 Product Guide, ServeRAID M5210 SAS/SATA Controller support RAID 0/1/10, RAID 5/50 is optional. Could you please check if you install ServeRAID M5200 Series Cache/RAID 5 Upgrade to support RAID 5?
