ThinkStation E20 and E30 onboard graphics don't work. Why?

Question

Yesterday, I get my first Lenovo Workstation E20 4222-21G. I unpacked it, I wanted to boot it with the delivered mouse and keybord, a VGA Monitor is connected to the VGA onboard adapter. The E20 will not start. The fans runs, the LEDs at the front of the E20 are on. Only five (5x) Bepps are occured. Has anyone a work around solution for me?

Answer

The Intel Xeon CPU in your system doesn't have an internal graphics processor and therefore isn't sending a signal to the onboard graphics sockets.  Only the Intel Core i-series CPUs support internal graphics.  You'll need to connect your display to the graphics card that came with your system.  If it didn't come with a graphics card then you'll need to purchase one.
