I just made the USB stick with rufus the settings are it good for the BIOS ?

Just one bit of advice about the possible origin of the original problem described here.  If you're seeing this odd restart behavior after plugging in AC power to the PSU, then this is actually completely normal.  If AC power is disconnected, then when it is reconnected, the PSU will typically power on briefly to reset internal settings, and then power off again.  At that point, it should follow whatever settings there are in BIOS regarding system power (i.e. return to last state, etc.).

 

At any rate, having the supply toggle power on/off is likely not going to impact the life expectancy of the PSU itself.  Especially given that PSU is likely already up to 8 years old depending on when it was manufactured.

The restart problem, I solved them by pressing enter at the very beginning and using the windows boot disk.

 

in doing so, the boot does not take place.

 

My problem is that I cannot update the BIOS.

 

But the starting problem is not only the power supply but especially the components of the PC namely the motherboard, the processor or even the RAM.

Hello,

I managed to select the boot disk to update the BIOS but it puts this error when I try to do it.

I think i need to type a command to run BIOS update indeed i have a c:>

So I can try typing a command to run the update.

 

Please tell me what to type to execute it.
