Digital Download Recovery Service Media

2019-07-15, 5:41 AM

we have a few workstation with exactly the same built bought 2 years ago. it has Windows 10 with downgrade rights to Windows 7.

since Windows 7 support will end in 2020, we would like to upgrade it to Win10.

my question is since our workstations have the same built and specs, do i have to download the recovery media for each CPU(serial number)? can i download just one ISO then use it to restore the other CPU into Win10?

Though I haven't completed the process in a while, the last time I checked Microsoft was still supporting the win10 upgrade process using their Media Creation Tool.  This requires that your version of win7 is fully licensed and activated in order for the win10 activation to work.

That tool should not be system configuration dependent from what I've seen in the past.  So the same media should work on multiple systems.
