F6 Option SATA controller

Hello,  I have 6 new 6427-CTO  D10   I ordered them with Dos to save Money.  Using the  F6 option to load the SATA driver for XP Pro 64bit,  There are about 10 controller drivers to choose from.  None seem to work, the system hangs on   Windows start up after the initial F6 is done  and then blue screens.

Basic question I guess does anyone know what controler is used  and or how to find out?

welcome to the forum.

this thread may be of help.   you can download the XP x64 intel SATA RAID controller driver from lenovo or intel.   i would try the lenovo one first.

btw, you'll want to store the driver files in a specific folder and load them at boot using a USB flash drive.   you can also try disabling AHCI in the BIOS and installing the driver later.   it's up to you.

hope that helps.

Re: F6 Option SATA controller

As usual a well educated ( been there, been burned by that)  forum beats  the paid tech support.

Thank you for saving hours of my life.
