Please help with information

so i am getting a thinkstation p720 30BA00DDAX
it has great specs and all but what i am buying does not have a GPU
and so it happens that i have a geforce gtx 1050 ti
will it support that GPU or am i bound to certain GPUs?

The 1050Ti is not an officially supported GPU.  So if you call into support with an issue using that GPU, they're likely going to tell you to remove it and retest (with a supported GPU) to see if the issue still occurs.

 

Unofficially, I don't think you'll have any issues running that GPU based on your P720 configuration.  I'm not sure which specific version you're using, but the general specs on the reference card look like it would easily be in line with what P720 can support.  Obviously you'll want to make sure you're running the appropriate driver for your card, which would have to come directly from the vendor or Nvidia.

i have included the model number above
and let's just say i install the correct drivers for the GPU which i'm trying to use soon everything should work just fine right?
