Is the ThinkStation S20 compatible with 8GB UDIMMs?  What is the maximum supported memory?

S20 models officially support 8GB UDIMMs up to a total of 48GB as of November 02, 2011.

*** ThinkStation all E30 ECC models, all S20 models maximum memory updated (E30 ECC models: 16GB to 32GB, S20 models: 24GB to 48GB)

The S20 pages of the ThinkStation PSREF sheets now say the following:

2GB or 4GB std, 48GB max, UDIMM,
PC3-10600 1333MHz DDR3***, ECC,
3-channel capable, six 240-pin DIMM sockets
*** System automatically clocks down for processors with 800MHz
or 1066MHz DDR3 memory controller

Now, on forums, I am learning that its not upgradable. Please tell if it is possible or not. Also, please tell which RAM is already there installed so that I can buy compatible RAM.Performance is very sluggish even when i open two three tabs on any web explorer. Thanks.
