Recently ordered the S20, 2.4GHz (base specs on everything). But, I asked lenovo to configure with 2 Nvidia cards, they only gave me one, and Ive must have spent several mornings and lunch breaks talking with every single department to get this resolved. Otherwise, its a FAST machine that is just begging for its full quad monitor setup.

I am definitely puzzled after my resent order of ThinkStation S20. The estimated shipping date is 03/09/10. No it is not 1 ½ months but more than FOUR months since the order date! Should I cancel my order right away and turn to other manufactures?

i'm not sure why your S20 has been held up this long. the usual explanation is that a component in your build is backordered, holding the entire order up.
have you contacted the sales department to inquire about the delay? they can tell you what component is causing the issue.
if you ordered your system with windows, you may want to consider rebooking your order to get a system with windows 7. plus, prices may have dropped in the last four months, giving you a better deal.
please call sales today and post back with your results.

if the ESD is only 10 days away then that's pretty quick. i personally don't know if the E30s are assembled in mexico but that's where the D20 and C20 originate for the NA market.
at a minimum you should see it soon.

Thanks, I hope it will ship soon. Fortunately, I don't have any deadlines and my ThinkPad can keep up with my everyday work.
edit: it would be good to have more steps between "in process" and the shipping itself

So, my ThinkStation arrived. It is a little bit noisier than I thought, but it's really fast and I really like it; however, I ordered it with 2 year warranty, and when I check my warranty status online it reports only one year. What can I do about this?

give it a couple of weeks and if it still hasn't updated then call sales and have them look into it.

Ordered an E30 on the 18th of November and Lenovo said it would ship on November 29th.
About a week ago the Estimated ship Date field disappears, so yesterday I call them, yesterday and the sales rep assures me it will ship this week.
I check it today. (1 day after it was supposed to ship) and now it says 12/21?!?!?!?!
I called them again and sales reps have no answers for me as to why this occuring they have to email someone and find out. Either way I emailed my lenovo rep at my workplace. (we buy 20 million worth of stuff from them every year so its not like we are a small customer) I haven't heard anything back yet from either.
Its not like my configuration is all that exotic either. I am doing all of my upgrades outside of Lenovos configurator, so what I ordered was more like a starting point. I plan to upgrade it to 32gb of ECC ram make the 500gb drive secondary and a SATA III SSD primary, swap the power supply for something bigger and put a nice video card in. Also why does the E30 get the Lenovo M series power supply. 280 watts? Seriously?
