Thinkstation P520c BIOS update

2021-04-04, 14:43 PM

After installing the latest P520c BIOS update S03KT45A I noticed that the ME rollback to 11.12.77.1664 has not been captured. ME is still on 11.12.82.1838.

I confirmed with our BIOS team that ME is not updated during the BIOS update on workstations.  There is a separate ME update tool

The reason why ME with BIOS 45A was rollbacked because ME v11.12.80.1734 had a problem with BIOS 43A/44A, hence the reason why they pulled this from the Lenovo Support Site.  ME v11.12.82.1838 was posted on the Lenovo support site and the BIOS team recommends staying on ME v11.12.82.1838 even with BIOS 45A.

After you updated BIOS to S03KT45A, did you let the system complete it's reboots?  Usually, the system reboots 2-3 times for the full BIOS update to take affect.

What BIOS version was on your system previously before updating to BIOS S03KT45A?

Yes I had a complete reboot after installing the latest BIOS without complications. Previous BIOS was S03KT44A.

Ok, thanks for confirming.  Let me pass this information over to our internal BIOS team to take a look at.
