Can I replace my Lenovo PSU Fan?

2020-10-25, 1:45 AM

I have a Lenovo pc and the psu on it has a broken fan. Idk if it’s fine using a psu without a working fan or not. And if I can replace it what connector does it use and is it safe to replace a psu fan by myself or should I take it to greeksquad?

Hi Sir,

The fan on the PSU cannot be replaced. In order to provide the best power performance for your system, we recommend to replace the broken fan's PSU directly.

You can find more information in the Thinksystem documentation parts replacement procedure.

Absolutely. Please replace the fault PSU to prevent any unknown risk(stability, reliability...) as both you and us are Not expertised guys on PSU. The PSU FAN is an intermal part in the PSU, do not open it privately. Thanks. Kalr
