firsty: Sorry for my English - German is my mother tongue.
I got this project on the fly so here is my situation:
My collegue just changed the IP Adresses of the Nodes which are inserted into the Lenovo SD530 Enclosure and than left our company without any docs.
The problem is, that we can not get any IP Address of the SMM. I am on Fedora and tried different ways as well - but without success.
I'd like to hard reset the whole enclousure or just get the IP of the SMM in order to configure it.
I'm directly connected with my SMM by an ethernet-cable to my Fedora-29-laptop.
I have three profiles for the connection to the SMM, because I have no idea to which VLAN he changed the device.
So I tried different IP's the SMM could have:
old IP 192.168.206.11
new IP 192.168.209.11
default IP 192.168.70.100 and 192.168.70.150
modprobe ipmi_si type=kcs ports=0xca8 regspacings=4
systemctl start ipmi
ipmitool -I lanplus -H <SMM’s IP> -U USERID -P PASSW0RD raw 0x32 0x97 0x01 0x01
The answer was:
Get Auth Capabilities error
Error issuing Get Channel Authentication Capabilities request
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ sessi
ping, nmap was also unseccessful
I tried to listen by wireshark and tcpdump but I dont really get a hint.
Can you guys help me ?

Welcome to the community!
If you know the MAC address you can figure out what the IPv6 Link Local Address is and use that to connect to the SMM. There are multiple IPv6 LLA converters out there. Assuming you know the userid and password you can login and take a look at the network configuration.
Hope this helps!

For the afterworld:
Connect PC and SMM via Ethernet.
Change IPv6 to Link-Local-Only
Use Wireshark and sniff on the Ethernet-Adapter and find out which MAC-Adress was sended.
Convert the MAC-Adress to the IPv6-Link-Local-Address.
Create a tunnel by using the following command:
ssh -L local_socket:[FE80:ad:dr:ess&interface]:hostport localhost
go to your browser and open:
Make sure that your firewall is open.
