Hi lawjohn

May I ask if your question have been resolved or not? Can you create RAID1 from 2x Intel NVMe SSD under SR650 successfully?

The lenovopress indicate there is no VROC key now from Lenovo DCG Thinksystem. It only explain software Raid method inside OS.

Re: Perform software RAID from Intel NVMe SSD with RAID 1 under SR650

Hi law john,

Please refer to this KB: Intel NVMe SSD are allowed to create RAID volume with Intel VMD enabled - Lenovo ThinkSystem

Lenovo ThinkSystem has enabled Intel VMD technology without RAID functionality support. Intel VRoC requires an encrypted hardware key to enable the RAID feature, which Lenovo did not adopt into the ThinkSystem portfolio.

However, even without any hardware key, users may still be able to create VRoC RAID0 volume on systems configured with Intel brand NVMe SSD.

(where Intel VMD is Intel Volume Management Device, VRoC is Virtual RAID on CPU, VRoC = VMD + RAID support)

And we're back...

Move delayed but still coming
