Unknown Sensor - ThinkSystem SR650 - System Management Software

Hello guys,

we have a new ThinkSystem SR650 installed with VMware ESXi, 6.7.0, 8169922

If I go to Monitor / Hardware Health, we have two unknown sensor ; System Management Software 1 Low Security Jmp and System Management Software 1 Phy Security Jmp.

Is there a way to make them not unknown? What are those?

They give us "Warning" in our monitoring system because they are unknown.

Thanks for the help!

Hello, in VMWare I have those logs ;

Unsupported sensor class 8 for sensor number 28 type 15
Unsupported sensor class 8 for sensor number 17 type 40

I'm going to the customer tonight so I'll have more details.

Re: Unknown Sensor - ThinkSystem SR650 - System Management Software

Hi

It seems the server have TPM enabled and not configured properlly. If there is no function impact, suggest just ignored these message. Or clear the configuration for TPM in uEFI/BIOS may help this. This is my suggestion, not sure can complete solve your issue, but hope can help. Thanks.
