alarm led will not clear

so, we got our ThinkSystem SR630 and only plugged in one powersupply.

now - as the box goes into production and all PSUs are suppllied, we still have the orange alarm led.

and we do not see any option to clear this alarm in the xclarity controller webinterface

1. you should be check whether it have the HW issue. if yes, please fix it.
2. you should be clear all log .
3. if still alert , you can try reset XCC and check again.

Hello. hknet.

 

If your system have only 1 PSU and this is expected, suggest to check "Power Policy"  from left menu of XCC "Server configuration" => "Power Policy".

 

When you are installing only 1PSU, Power Redundant setting change from "Redundant" to "Non-redundant" then once restart XCC.

 

If setting is "Redundant", XCC regards current situation (have only 1 PSU) as "lost redundant" situation.

1.  If the alarm is caused by PSU, then the alarm will disappear after 2 PSU installed. Pls check the XCC version also, the old xcc may go to busy status and response slowly, so pls update the latest XCC to try.

2.Pls check the XCC event log if there is any errors reported , and which parts the error report to ?
