ThinkVantage Registry Monitor Service not starting

After several hours of technicians from Microsoft trying to fix a security update bug by taking control of my T61 Vista 64-bit with Microsoft Easy Assist, now, the ThinkVantage Registry Monitor Service does not run when users log on.

 

Assuming that the Registry Monitor Service was doing something useful, how do I re-enable it to run at user log on like before?
