For your information, having been running Linux Mint 19.1 with kernel 4.18.20 since February, I just installed the new kernel 5.1 (using Ukuu). Previously my issues were wifi and touchpad, that were solved with two tweaks installed using dkms.
Apparently these two tweaks migrated automatically to the new kernel level, because everything seems to work as it should.
Why did I upgrade the kernel? Because the changes included improvements to AMD Ryzen based systems and Vega graphics.

After a few hours of use, one minor issue appeared: tap to click stopped working, only a real click (with sound) on the touchpad works. What is weird: I opened a terminal session, issued command ls, and surprisingly then tap to click worked again! And after a while, maybe 10-15 minutes, stopped again.
I leave it to linux specialists to figure out what is going on.
