Linux Mint making deals with OEMs... would love this to occur with Lenovo!

I saw a headline today: "Linux Mint Forges New Deals with OEMs".  Mint tends to work pretty well with Lenovo hardware already.  Wouldn't it be great it Lenovo were to be one of them?   hint... hint...

As a supporter of Linux and a supporter of Lenovo, this would be very exciting news.

Me too.  Would recommend T-series, especially for non-tech people such as parents, senior neighbors, and siblings for whom I have become their de facto tech support for all things hardware and software.

A wide variety of stable and free (as in beer) software allows for simplifying/tailoring the system to their needs.  I vote for the Linux Mint Debian Edition.  It isn't perfect, but it is quite good out of the box.

I believe I have heard of Ubuntu, Redhat and Opensuse. Debian, Fedora, Mint, and CentOs are available from specialty suppliers like EmperorLinux but not from the factory.

I do not remember if I saw Redhat or Opensuse from OEM or if I just see the drivers for them, for people who have added them later.
