Broken or Un-Tested
* Thunderbolt 3 (I don't have equipment to test this)

I attempted to test this with a thunderbolt monitor that works with the Yoga 920, but it didn't work. I may be able to get dmesg output later. Is this the place we should watch for progress on that? https://github.com/intel/thunderbolt-software-user-space

* Speakers (still being worked on via multiple parties across the web)

Where is this being worked on??? The tinny sound is killing me ):

* Power Management (still need to test if this is working via the latest kernel)

I don't think this has changed

* Built in Microphone

This also still doesn't work, do you know where this is being worked on as well?

* Fingerprint Reader

I don't use biometrics so I won't test this

We are really close to a fully functioning C930 Smiley Very Happy.

I sure hope so! I wish Lenovo would help directly, maybe I'll switch over to those sleek Huawei ultrabooks...

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

Speaker details are here: https://github.com/droserasprout/lenovo-yoga-c930-linux#speaker

Don't have an idea on the microphone at the moment.

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

After some more digging, it seems that somehow they got the full speaker system working under a hackintosh setup... but doesn't work in ubuntu lol.

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

OS X drivers are very different than linux drivers.  There could be some proprietary stuff going on in OS X

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

OSX is just Unix, if someone got the speakers working in a hackintosh for this laptop, it shouldn't be too hard to get that ported over to another distro.

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

I've noticed pretty bad screen tearing when watching videos, I've applied the fix posted here and it works well:

https://learnubuntumate.weebly.com/screen-tearing-on-intel-graphics.html

tldr;

        sudo mkdir -p /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
        sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
add

Section "Device"
   Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
   Driver      "intel"
   Option      "TearFree"    "true"
EndSection

then save.

Re: Linux compatibility with Yoga C930

Don't count on that. The behavior is just the same. The 2 speakers under keyboard still doesn't work. Just the subwoofer in the sound bar may works oob. (Or also via hda-verb https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-lenovo-yoga-c930-13ikb-4k-i7-8550u-99-working-updated-7-feb...
