Whats the best way to gest trackpad multi-finger gestures working on ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2?

Ubuntu 19.10 status

What works:

  • Two finger vertical scrolling. But there is no acceleration like on macs.
  • Right mouse click with two fingers
  • Tap to click

What does not work?

  • three finger swipe left/right/up/down
  • four finger swipe
  • ....

For wayland, there seems to be a nice Gnome Shell Extension.

But no luck on Ubuntu 19.10 with nVidia drivers, X11 is used because the drivers are incompatible with wayland. There is not even a possiblity the switch to wayland (at least in the GUI).

Then there is Fusuma. I could not yet try it out because gem can't contact the rubygem servers. Don't know why...

Anybody knows another solution? We could collect and discuss them here. Graphical solutions always preferred. I, peronally, miss the three finger swipe left most to get "back" in Firfox.
