DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE Windows 10 Creators Update 1709

2017-12-22, 9:09 AM

I am having trouble with my Thinkpad Tablet X1. Windows 10 BSOD happening dozen of times every day with error code: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE 0x0000009f ntoskrnl.exe+1640e0 / 10.0.16299.125 (WinBuild.160101.0800)

This is very annoying, I use this laptop for work and having many times failure every day is making me mad. I thought that in the beginning this was either after updating to Windows 10 / 1709. BIOS and all driver

updates by lenovo are installed so as windows drivers.

This is very strange thing. Anybody experienced the same issue or has any idea what to do?

If you can locate the C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP file, that should be being created when you get the BSOD, and share it online (OneDrive etc.) so it can be viewed, the memory.dmp file may point to the bad driver at fault, which is what is most likely the cause.

Best of luck,
