Fingerprint login broken after Windows 10 version 1803 update (T470p)

I can't use my fingerprint to login to Windows anymore after Windows updated to version 1803.

I can't find any setting to add or reset any biometric security.

Is there a way to add this feature, or is it gone?

Have you tried the Vantage application. It may be a driver issue after the windows update. I would run the Vantage application to rule out the potential issue.

Please keep us posted

I updated some drivers that could have some influence on it, and no change to the fingerprint login method

I ran into the same. Updated all firmware, drivers. And upon failure after updates completed I reinstalled the biometric driver specifically after removing it. The 1803 update definitely broke the function. Currently, the driver is shown to have issues in Device Manager. And when I go to the Windows settings for fingerprint setup I get the message, "Windows Hello isn't available on this device."
