Galaxy Note5 Bluetooth Media Audio Issues in Windows 10 with X1 Carbon (20FB)

2017-03-31, 18:20 PM

Hi all,

I'm working on a Windows 10 image (1607 November build) for our Lenovo X1 Carbon laptops (20FB).  I've installed Lenovo's Bluetooth drivers for Windows 10, but I am unable to connect to media audio with my Galaxy Note5 during testing.  However, file transfers work fine.  Media audio works on the same hardware with our Windows 7 images.

Does anybody have any advice for how to fix this?  Thanks!

Regardless of which Bluetooth driver I install in Windows 10 from the Lenovo site for the X1 Carbon (20FB), the Bluetooth services for audio are unavailable.  On my Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit system (using the same X1 Carbon model), it works fine (please see the attached screenshot).  Is there an installation / component I'm missing to get this working properly?  I can only transfer files at this point, as if the driver is limited in functionality.  The installation is clean in Windows 10 Enterprise, so I'm not sure what's preventing this from functioning properly.  I am able to pair the device without issues.

Thanks!
