My z500 (not touch) also has the same problem, it is very annoying.
I hope you solve this soon, as you are advertising Windows 10 everywhere in your web....

We're discussing the same problem on the spanish forum -> https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Z/Z500-y-Windows-10/m-p/2130659#M4247
It seems modifing regedit can help this issue, as on W8.1 https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Z/Solucion-al-problema-de-brillo-en-Windows-8-1/m-p/1414649#M3567

I think I have found the solution. Try it and tell us, please, if it works.

Thanks! that worked for me, but just using this driver (beta for w10)
Z500 is not in the compatibility list of this driver pack, but it works.

It's funny because both of the two options don't work on me hahaha
I have another issue. None of my internet explorers (edge, firefoz, chrome) open some webs like google, twitter or facebook. The only one which works is maxton. I think that could be a problem with the spybot, but I desinstalled before I updated, so I don't know. Any ideas?

I'll try that.
[Edit: Doesn't work for my Z500 touch. I copied those files but it didn't help. In addition, I'm not ableto reinstall the Win 8.1 Intel Video driver, because Windows 10 tells me the Realtek bluetooth or something like that program doesn't run with Win 10 :/]
I've got another solution: Just set the driver of the on-board graphics to the previous version and the brightness problem is solved, but because of me having a graphics 4000 the performance with this "trivial" driver is just bad so that it's just a workaround.
