Problem with one key on T440's keyboard after upgrading to Windows 10

2015-07-31, 13:22 PM

Hi everyone,

I have a brazilian layout keyboard (ABNT2) on my T440, and I am facing a problem after upgrading to Windows 10. The new version of Windows recognizes this key:

t440_keyboard.jpg

As the "right Ctrl" key (commom on other layouts).

Has anyone else faced a similar issue or have any clues about what might solve this?

Thanks in advance,

Felipe

Solved.

Doing more research, i fount out this is an old bug with Lenovo's Thinkpad laptops using this brazilian keyboard layout.

If you're facing the same problem, use this registry tweak and problem will be solved:

(the filename says "win7" but it also works for Windows 10)

I have the exact same problem on a T470 with portuguese keyboard. I happens when running Windows 10 and also when I boot from an external drive on linux ubuntu 16.04.

The previous registry fix did not work on my configuration, for Windows10.

If someone can help, I can provide more specs.

Thanks in advance,

Hi everyone,

I have the same problem as above, but on my T470S

The file there is attached in this tread, is full of "Malware" so i will not install that on my machine, there must be another way.
