Since my Window 10 2018 Fall Update (1803) I've been having sound troubles.  At the same time of that update I ran the Lenovo updates too.

Are there any known solutions to this?  I'm having this problem with my 2019 X1 Carbon.

Sometimes after wakeup from sleep or hibernation, I get this message.

The hardware appears to be fine in device manager, but audio does not work.

Removing the devices and reinstalling does not help; only restarting the machine works.  I've tried updating the driver through Windows, but it says it is current.  Should I try directly from Realtek?

Any clue what's going on?

Is there any resolution for this issue? I have Lenovo Legion 5i and it has the same problem. Lenovo Support in India is too bad. The agent said its a windows issue and I agree to it.

As per him the solution is to do a clean install of Windows. He couldn't wait till the windows ISO is downloaded and installed on a USB. He didn't even tell me how to do it.

I have a high end Lenovo Dolby Atmos laptop with no audio. This is how Lenovo's support works.

Found this thread through Google search.

I have the same problem on my Ideapad 3-15IML05 - Type 81WB laptop. But strangely, sound works on Bluetooth. It's when I go back to regular speakers or headphones that the sound doesn't work again. I suspect a conflict with the Bluetooth driver or software.
